FORMLINE:- The winner was one of 5 trained by Aidan O'Brien, although the favourite, Wings of Eagles, was from the same stable. Capri won by a neck in 2 minutes 35.45 seconds, with a short head back to Wings of Eagles. In his 2 year old days Capri won 3 of his 5 races, and prior to winning the Irish Derby he ran 6th in the Epsom Derby behind Wings of Eagles (SR 1924). He then won his second Classic, the Doncaster St Leger to crown a career which spanned 14 races and included 6 wins. |
